Webinar on Evaluation and Impact Assessment of ITS & C-ITS
The third webinar of the CAPITAL ITS e-learning project will train participants in the principles and methods of of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Cooperative ITS (C-ITS) evaluation, provide an overview of impact assessment of these services, and present a new approach in the evaluation of C-ITS.

Evangelos Mitsakis holds a diploma in civil engineering and a doctorate degree (PhD) in transport engineering. His interests cover two main research lines. The first one includes Intelligent Transport Systems, both at traffic management and control and at traveler information level, while in the recent years he works on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). The second research line is related to impact assessment of climate change on transport systems and networks.

Simon Edwards is a Senior Researcher in ITS in the Transport Operations Research Group. He is involved in much of the Transport Operation Research Group’s Europe-facing ITS research, and has participated in many successful applications for European research funding. He has knowledge of and experience in many different areas of ITS, including cooperative systems, urban mobility, and electro-mobility. Simon's specialist field is Inclusive Mobility, in particular accessibility for disabled and older people. His other skills include the user evaluation processes and assessment of the practical application and acceptance of ITS.
